In Grammar, there are a lot of topics that students have to deal with and also there are many subtopic hidden in it. So the main purpose of making Form Classes ane Structure Word is to characterised every topic with level of similarities in two groups one called as Form Class and the second is Structure Word.
To learn this topic, We have to just know what Affix is then we will be able to do it better.
Affix is a letter or group of letters that have no meaning of its alone or can say it is dependent or embedded but when it goes before some words, it changes that word's meaning.
There are two types of Affix?
1) Prefix
2) Suffix
Prefixes are those affixes which are used before word and the word's meaning is changed by.
Ex: Im + Possible = Impossible
En + Joy = Enjoy
Ir + Regular = Irregular
Here the particle 'Im', 'En', 'Ir' used are Prefix.
Suffixes are those affixes which are used after word to change its meaning or can say that word gets affected by suffix by its meaning.
Ex: Boy + S = Boys
Friend + S = Friends
Hence we can together say it is used to make Plural of any word that is possible.
Prime Minister's decisions are on top.
Here 'S is used to show possession which is also a suffix that is used after Prime Minister. Hence we can also say that Suffix is also used for making possession.

What is Form Class?
Form Class is a group where those words are put which changes their form and meaning just after adding Affix.
Starting from Parts of Speach.
Noun
Noun is termed as in Form class because it's affected by the effect of Affix.
Boy + S = Boys
Here, Boys word has been made by adding 'S' Prefix in last. Therefore, Noun is a type of Parts of Speech which is put firstly in the list of Form class.
In general, When we make Plural of Noun, we add add s, es or other words in last. So adding of something in already existed word is actually a Affix. Now here, Noun can be said as a type of Form Class.
Adjective
Not all but most of the adjectives are characterised in the group of Form class.
Fear + less = Fearless
Adjective that doesn't change its form by Affixes is not characterised in Form Class.
Verbs
Verbs are one of the main types of Form Class because Most of the verbs changes their for by Affixes. There are some exceptional who doesn't change their form. So simultaneously they are not put in the group of Form Class.
Go + es = Goes
Adverb
Adverb is termed as Form Class as they changes their form by Affixes.
Beautiful + fully = Beautifully
